We provide Primary Care access 24/48 hours according to the National Guidance.

DOCTORS' CONSULTING HOURS

All the doctors consult between 9.00 - 11.00am and 4.00 - 6.00pm on the following days:

Dr Handa Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Dr Chaudery Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Dr Shah Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
Dr Tharu Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (am only)
Dr Invine Monday (am), Wednesday (am), Thursday (am) and Friday (am)

EXTENDED OPENING HOURS

The practice runs a late evening surgery on Monday evenings till 8.10pm for people who are unable to access the GP surgeries during the usual opening hours due to their work commitments. These appointments are with doctors but at times nurses will be available and they are only for pre-booked patients. We would like to emphasise that these appointments are for the concerned patient only and requests to see other family members will not be accepted as per the Department of Health Extended Hours guidelines.

For emergency situations patients are advised to contact the out-of-hours emergency service, Croydoc as per normal.

EMERGENCIES OUT OF HOURS

When The Surgery Is Closed You Have A Choice:

If you wish to speak to an emergency doctor between the hours of 6.30pm and 8.30am weekdays and at any time throughout weekends and bank holidays, please phone 0845 603 8517. The out-of-hours service is provided by CROYDOC (Croydon Doctors On Call) and our telephone is diverted to them when the surgery is closed.

Croydon NHS Walk-in Centre: This is located at 45 High Street and is open every day of the year to offer fast and convenient access to healthcare advice as well as treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.

Open: Monday to Friday 7.00am - 10.00pm
  Weekdays/Bank Holidays 9.00am - 10.00pm

Mental Health Crisis Line: This 24-hour helpline is manned by experienced community psychiatric nurses. The service is commissioned by the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. Telephone 0800 318 7213.

Minor Injuries Unit: This is located at the Parkway Health Centre in New Addington (telephone 020 8251 7225). Treatment is available for a wide range of minor injuries and health problems without appointment. The Unit is open seven days a week from 2.00 - 10.00pm.

ACUTE EMERGENCIES

If you are confronted by a serious problem such as severe chest pain, collapse, unconsciousness, or severe bleeding call an ambulance by dialling 999.

DISABLED ACCESS

At Norbury Health Centre there are reserved car spaces for the disabled in the car parking area. There is wheelchair access to the building; provision of lifts to access the first and second floors. There is a disabled patient WC. Reception staff will be more than happy to make your visit to the surgery comfortable.

BREAST-FEEDING

There are facilities at Norbury Health Centre for breast-feeding mothers to feed their baby in privacy.
