Service We Provide
Our practice hosts the following services and clinics:
We run an antenatal clinic every Friday morning from 9.00 - 11.30am. It is run by one of the doctors with the help of the practice nurse/healthcare assistant.
The midwife also runs her clinic at the same time in the surgery.
Child Health Surveillance Clinic
Appointments are offered at the end of our morning surgery each day for child development checks and immunisations.
An opportunity is also presented to discuss any other problems, eg sleeping, feeding or indeed any other health issues that may be causing concern.
We are an accredited practice for minor surgery. The doctors carry out a range of surgical procedures. You should consult your doctor to decide if the procedure could be carried out at the surgery.
Liquid Nitrogen Clinic
Please see one of the doctors for authorisation for treatment at this clinic. It involves removal of certain lesions by freezing them.
Cervical smears are carried out in the surgery by the doctors or practice nurse. All our female patients aged between 24-49 will be invited to attend every three years and those between 50-64 every five years unless an early repeat is required following an abnormal result.
All doctors and the practice nurse provide a full range of contraceptive services. Fitting of intra-uterine contraceptive devices (coil/insertion of implant) can be arranged with one of the doctors.
Immunisation For Foreign Travel
As well as the practice nurse providing comprehensive advice about overseas travel and vaccination, we are registered as a YELLOW FEVER CENTRE. Please make an appointment to see the nurse at least eight weeks before intended date of travel
Influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, mums-to-be and patients over the age of 65. Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment.
We provide enhanced diabetes care to our patients with in-house management of insulin treatment.
